Government Grants

Grant Funding

Have you always wondered if your business would qualify for a Government Grant? Or have you always put off the idea of writing a grant application because of the time required? Fair enough - they’re competitive and time-consuming.

They can however be game-changing for your business if done correctly.

We'll help you navigate the process so you can focus on steering the ship in the right direction.

Grants Explained

Grants provide an essential source of funding to kick-start and accelerate your innovative projects. Typically these projects must seek to develop new and improved technologies which result in spillover benefits to the wider economy and environment. Sources of grant funding include Innovate UK, EU’s Horizon Europe scheme, Local Enterprise Partnerships, ERDF, and the SBRI among others.

Applying for grant funding can be difficult and time-consuming, and requires an expert approach to maximize the chances of success. Grant success rates are typically higher when applications are from consortiums (vs. individual companies) and are very competitive - so choosing a grant that is right for your business is as important as the application process itself.

Net Zero: The 10 Point Plan

In November 2020, the UK government announced a ten-point plan for a Green industrial revolution. The plan sets out activity and investment from the government to support the transition to net-zero. The plan recognises the need to provide specific and additional support to '“difficult-to-decarbonise industries” to become greener through incentivising research projects for zero-emission marine & clean technologies across the commercial, leisure, energy sub-sectors. The plan includes both specific funding commitments and also pledges future support through an increased program of government incentives throughout the next decade.
